The idea of a “Black Vtuber Awards” was and is stupid. From its very *inception*, it was stupid.

Did you see a sign on the door of any other Vtuber Awards Show that said “except for the blacks”?

No, you didn’t, because that would be ridiculous. Just as ridiculous as having an awards show for only ONE race.

Listen, Vtubing? It’s a branch of online content creation, which is a branch of what we’d consider the entertainment industry as a whole.

Trying to make it in Entertainment has been, is, and ALWAYS will be BRUTAL. Oh, you didn’t get your flowers for having an anime puppet and playing video games/chatting/singing on a live show? Tough tiddy, neither did the VAST majority of other Vtubers. People get their dreams shit on every single goddamn day, regardless of where they came from or what color their skin is.

Just like any other form of entertainment, there’s only room for a comparatively MINUSCULE amount of people at the top. It’s not because you’re black, it’s because the chance of you popping off was ALWAYS infinitesimally small.

Better learn to start treating it like a hobby, because most people aren’t ever gonna be doing this as real gig.

And what the hell use do you really have for a “best of the blacks” trophy? Might make you feel good, but it won’t change the fact that there’s still 100+ content creators out there in the other race categories that are dusting you. Congrats.

Maybe instead of putting a bunch of energy into shit that doesn’t and will NEVER matter, you redirect that into improving your content and growing your audience without leaning on your skin color like a crutch.

And this “you” isn’t directed just at OP, this is for EVERY content creator putting any amount of stock into this sham of a show. It’s not gonna help you. It never was.

You want the world to know your name? Time to lock in and give them something worth remembering you for. (Hint: it’s not being black. Plenty of people have done that already).
