The label on the bottle of Noodler’s Tiananmen embeds the photo by Jeff Widener: a man on the #Tiananmen Square standing alone against tanks. On the top there is a red text: One day China will be free. Quite a statement for a #fountainpen ink bottle. [4/4]

And these photos were taken after over 9 hours since writing those words. Yes, it’s still not completely dry (the last photo shows marks on tissue) – and you can see it does not “sink” into the paper. On thick lines it looks rather a scab, or a bloody paint. It’s special.

Noodler’s Tiananmen is an extremely wet ink, it will take HOURS to dry on Tomoe River or Midori paper. These photos show it after ~3.5 hours after I wrote those words. See the puddle of ink in the square. I use it in a pen with the broadest possible nib: the Triple Tail.

Today’s #inkoftheday is Noodler’s Tiananmen. Yes, it refers to #Tiananmen Square protests. It’s a bloody red #fountainpen ink, as it should be. It’s thick blood in ink bottle. It even behaves like blood – a broad line will not dry flat, it will form a tactile structure.

Today is the 32nd anniversary of the #Tiananmen Square Massacre. There is only one ink for this occasion: bloody Noodler’s Tiananmen. A while ago I wrote a thread:

@ashes_oak Don’t you think it’s quite disgusting to use someone’s skin as a cover? Everyone should treat animals as equals; for an empathetic person like myself products made of leather are simply awful. 🤢🤮
@PurePens Unpopular opinion: don’t buy Jinhao – don’t support copycats, who steal designs from established and respected manufacturers, and sell them as their own. They don’t invest in research, so they an sell their products cheaper. I boycott them, and you should too.

@0xabad1dea I’m exploring Arabic on Duolingo, and I’m overwhelmed by the number of similar sounds (not only vowels): opened, closed, short, long; sometimes I can’t distinguish between them. I wish English used such detailed alphabet for all the sounds it has (I’m not a native speaker).
@Yzoja@PaperLoversPL Przy okazji, do mycia piór w takim stanie polecam najprostszą myjkę ultradźwiękową – po 10 minutach cały osad zniknie z pióra, czysty będzie też konwerter.
And a word about this pen: if you are considering buying Noodler’s Ahab, please don’t – save yourself the frustration of using it. It’s flex when you force it, it’s difficult to handle, the ink flow is so bad I did not write the name of the pen on the note, I gave up. Just don’t.

This is… I don’t know. Peachy orange brown? 🙃 Or maybe just peachy orange. Or peachy brown. 😉 Quite similar to RO’s “Honey Bee”, but … more peachy. OK, I’ll stop now. 😂

The name of this ink translates as “black-red”, but it’s nowhere close to this. To me it’s the colour of wine – a mix of purple, red and pink, with lovely shading. Beautiful. 😍
