A Resident Evil fan is making a PS1-style game based on Zach Cregger’s new movie.

The fan project, Resident Evil: The Movie The Game, is being made by Julian Zamora and recreates scenes from the movie with classic survival horror gameplay.

One of the scenes shows Bryan hiding in a barn during a snowstorm while an infected dog chases him.

It uses the old-school fixed camera angles from the classic Resident Evil games, giving it a very nostalgic PS1-era feel.

The game is being made in Godot. The developer says they’re still trying to figure out how to recreate the pre-rendered backgrounds from the original games
