But BJP winning elections is not the ultimate goal. The ultimate goal is to keep the idea of Bharat alive.

I have seen Kashmir very closely, and I continue to observe it every day, both on social media and in real life. Delhi, the capital of Bharat, should not become another Kashmir.

Soon, they might even start promoting the ideas of Burhan Wani. Communism today has many parallels with the ideas that fuelled militancy in Kashmir.

1. We do not recognise the laws of your land.
2. We will make our own laws through street power once we remove all of you from our land.

We have moved beyond the stage where we can consider this a safe situation.

I know there can be no regime change in India, but that is not what worries me the most.

What scares me is the parallel I see with Kashmir. After the abrogation of Article 370, militancy seems to have lost much of its appeal among older people, millennials and those in their late twenties. But those between 10/12 to 25 appears to be falling in love with the idea of militancy, and I see this happening among a large section of them. Some romanticise it and the people they follow have control over their brain. A large section of kids romanticise the idea of it and they don't even realise the repercussions and consequences of it, because of them, the true radicals get recognition and money to keep operating.

Now, this mindset is not going to disappear with them. They will carry it to their graves, but the real problem is that they may pass it on to the next generation.

I see similar patterns emerging here. The good part is that this is still at an early stage. The sooner we stop this from spreading, the better it will be for us.

We cannot afford to have more Naxals with the mindset of militants. That would be a serious security threat.

Just look at how easily Umar Khalid's ideas are being promoted on social media in India. They are trying to make this the new normal. That is exactly why I said that, sooner or later, they might start normalising the ideas of Burhan Wani as well or the likes of Hidma.

I think Muslims need to understand something uncomfortable.

Non-Muslims do not owe Muhammad their respect. They do not believe he was a prophet, and some do not even consider him a good man. You can disagree with them, but you cannot demand that they see him the way you do.

Your reverence for someone does not create an obligation for the rest of the world to revere him.

So, are we going to kill everyone who insults Muhammad, or are we going to learn to practise our religion in a world where not everyone shares our beliefs?

Because the world is not going to become Muslim just to protect our feelings.

We have two choices: learn to live with our differences or spend our lives fighting a world we cannot control.

You cannot force people to love your prophet by making them afraid to criticise him. You can only teach them to fear those who claim to love him.
