So much focus in crypto on hitting "that number"
And for some it makes sense
It's comfort, it's retirement, it's the ring, the house, the family
I get that. But for many it's just a status symbol and a target rooted in ego, insecurity, and pride
You see constant posts on the timeline about hitting a certain $ amount of NW (is $10M even enough to retire) and suddenly that is your only goal
The concept of "making it" becomes attached to some arbitrary number
And your success is measured by how far you have moved towards that number, with any movement away seen as a failure
Targets and financial goals are fine, but returns are asymmetric, especially in crypto
Sometimes you grind for 3 months just to make +10%
Other times the stars align and you double your stack in one trade
Having a number in mind can create unnecessary pressure
And make you miserable when you're not moving towards that number at a constant pace
You need to learn to enjoy the process
Journey > destination
Just keep grinding, refining, getting better
And the upside will mostly take care of itself
