@_seikensw0rd@Xreilin [2] Basically, if it was released outside of Covid, it'll still classify as modern gacha, but the live-service genre itself would still be niche compared to other ones like MOBA, Battle Royale, etc. Even now there's a lot who only has Genshin as their gacha or another hoyo game.
@_seikensw0rd@Xreilin [1] It would've yes, but it would not the same scale as it did in Covid. You need to know, a lot of people who never played gacha started with Genshin, even older players who never played gacha before.
@_seikensw0rd@Xreilin the interesting thing here is that. what made genshin definitive was because of covid. a lot of people was bored inside their homes enough to play a free anime 3d game. we all thought if genshin was released 1 year prior it would've have the same impact as another gacha.
@Xreilin the fact that fgo is one of the oldest surviving gachas during the wild west era says something. pazudora is probably the oldest that still exists globally.
I'm a north Korean working as a gacha game developer with a stolen identity and I put the small penis hand onto every character I program to demoralize south koreans
@iKaito_1 Imo, there's 0 reasons to play this game without AI upscaling. They've given us enough reasons not to especially since 2.0. If you're on a modern Nvidia or AMD gpu anyways, DLSS 4.5 is so good even at Perf/Ult Perf and even the new FSR4(although dk if it's avail on WuWa).
Just days after PlayStation announced that all new games will be digital-only starting in 2028, Sony President and CEO Hiroki Totoki sold 225,000 Sony shares.
According to a recent SEC filing, Totoki sold the shares on July 3 for an estimated $4.73 million.
The sale represented 56.5% of his holdings in that class of Sony stock, leaving him with 173,250 shares.
The stock sale happened shortly after Sony announced its move toward an all-digital future for new PlayStation games after huge backlash from everyone
