Zetsu beta is now testing echo cancellation (AEC) 🎧
Talk on speakers: Zetsu removes your call partner's voice and other apps' audio (like YouTube) from your mic.
To try it, turn on "Receive Beta Updates" in the menu.

Zetsu 1.2.3 roughly halves its CPU usage. With noise removal on for both your mic and what you hear, Activity Monitor dropped from about 50% to about 20% on our M4 Mac. Same noise removal as before. https://t.co/GRNqH4oJCU

Your audio never leaves your Mac. Zetsu records no audio, needs no account, and has no telemetry. Its only network calls are Sparkle update checks and Polar license validation.

Zetsu installs two one-way virtual devices. Select Zetsu Mic as your meeting input and Zetsu Speaker as its output. Your mic is cleaned on the send path; meeting audio is cleaned on the receive path. One app, two directions.

Remote work is not always a quiet room. A keyboard nearby, traffic outside, a family member in the kitchen - calls still need to happen. The goal is not silence. It is making voices easier to follow.

Changing audio settings mid-call is its own kind of noise. Zetsu Mic and Zetsu Speaker keep audio flowing even when noise removal is switched off, so the route stays stable.

You should not have to ask a teammate to mute every time a dog barks or dishes clatter. Zetsu can clean incoming meeting audio before it reaches your headphones, on your own Mac.

A noisy meeting has two paths: what others hear from you, and what you hear from them. Most noise cancellers work on the first path. Zetsu was built for both.

[Zetsu App @zetsuappx]

Your microphone can be clean while your call is still noisy. The dog barking, keyboard clatter, or street noise may be coming from someone else's side — and straight into your headphones. Mic-only noise cancellation solves only half the call.

Most noise cancellers only clean your mic. Zetsu also cleans what you hear.

A real home-office recording: raw audio first, then Zetsu Performance. No cloud. No studio cleanup. Just on-device processing on a Mac.
