Yes, they didn’t win the Giro and ended “only” 3rd overall with Carapaz, but the overall team performance was very good. But they still got an epic stage win with Kasper Asgreen plus Carapaz also got one stage win. After a dissapointing start of this season, this was a great Giro for them. Thank you Locomotora del Carchi for ertertaining us for the 3 weeks.

Meet Stephen.

Here he is in 2020, volunteering for Bernie Sanders at the U of Cincinnati campus.

At the time, he was an atheist, secular humanist, Democratic socialist, depressed, alcoholic, porn addicted drug abuser.

His life was a disaster.

The Revelation

I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! But I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished! (Luke 12:49–50)

We don't know what it must have been like for Jesus to come to the revelation that He was to suffer for the sin of the world. We do know, however, that the culmination of that revelation came as He kneeled before His Father in the garden of Gethsemane and sweat great drops of blood (Luke 22:44). Most of us shudder at the thought of a mere dentist's drill. We pull back from any sort of pain, yet Jesus had to endure unspeakable agony as He suffered for the sin of the world. He could have turned His back on the pain of the cross, but instead, He gave His back to those who hated Him. He could have used His hands to resist and His feet to run. Rather, He gave His hands and His feet to be nailed to that wooden frame. For this purpose He was born. It was a baptism of unspeak-able suffering, and He endured it so that we could live.

SOUL SEARCH
Do I meditate much on the cross and what it meant for Jesus?

Father, may I shudder as I think of what I would have had to suffer for eternity had it not been for the suffering of the Savior.

Gracias @RichardCarapazM por la alegría que nos has dado el día de hoy a todos los ecuatorianos. Salieron apenas dos ecuatorianos contra los mejores del mundo, no eras favorito y aún así lograste quedarte con la victoria.
