So, look: I don’t want to hear Republicans talking about how much they love mothers today unless they’re going to do something—anything—to value mothers tomorrow.
The recent court ruling has given travelers the option to choose whether or not to wear masks on flights, buses, and trains. Having been on a plane myself yesterday—and recognizing cases are on the rise in many states—here is why I will continue to wear a mask when I travel. 1/6
"While Republican politicians peddle lies, fear and division, we should use every single one of the next 200 days or so before the election to deliver meaningful improvements for working people."

“We’re on a slippery slope! Cancel culture is dangerous! This is authoritarianism!”
This is what ppl say in response to outrage over situations like Joe Rogan & Dave Chapelle.
But ACTUALLY what we’re seeing is a growing normalization of hate speech & right wing violence 1/
Ordering free at-home COVID-19 testing through the USPS via https://t.co/MugmeK7ofc and thinking about how great it would be if all health care was this free and accessible.
It’s possible with Medicare for All.
Notice how something we were told was impossible & even laughable a couple weeks ago has now become possible. This is what everyone must understand about the importance of demanding what we need & not simply accepting it when officials say they can’t do it
I'm running for Congress in one of only five toss-ups in the entire nation.
I'm a teacher & single mother running on a progressive platform.
My likely opponent is a Jan. 6th Republican, who's been endorsed by @RepGosar.

A note to Democrats who blame progressives after losing an election:
Forcing millions to start paying student loans again and cutting off the Child Tax Credit at the start of an election year is not a winning strategy.
We're warning you now, don't point fingers in November.
If y’all are gonna insist on all these damn reboots, AT LEAST give us a sequel to #LivingSingle that centers Maxine Shaw and Kyle Barker as divorced parents who have both recently come out as gay. The material, the audience, and the VIBES are all there.
A thought experiment: Imagine if every day for the last 25 years every newspaper and tv station had urgent “breaking news” stories and graphics about the *thousands of deaths the night before* from air/water pollution, climate change, or poverty?
No worker in America should make less than $15 an hour, and every worker should have schedules they can plan around, somewhere safe for their kids to learn and play, and the ability to join a union.
Despite the Trial being a Whirlwind of Racist Jokes, Dramatic Tears and Questionable Decisions, Rittenhouse is found not Guilty https://t.co/wGE4zlo5YO
Remember that climate voters, especially young people, turned out big time in 2020. Because of them we elected Joe Biden and a wave of progressives with a climate action mandate. If we want to see that turn out grow in 2022, we need to listen to these young people and act now.
there's always some story like "people are suffering because milk went up 5 cents" and never "we have to budget for milk because our rent went up $500, our health care is $10,000/year, my kids' college fund requires $100k and every house in our budget is now $100k more expensive"
I've been working to cut casually ableist language out of my vocabulary, but I'm sure a side effect will be a four-year-old telling me that all the dinosaurs are dead and me boredly replying: "Wow that's fucked up."
Anyone who watches my show knows I am as critical of Manchinema as the next person - if not more so! - but why do we give *50* GOP senators a pass? Why aren’t they constantly being asked by reporters why they don’t support popular & necessary measures on climate or paid leave?
US democracy totally broken when huge majorities support policies like paid leave, expanding healthcare, taxing wealthy, lowering prescription drug prices, protecting voting rights, gun control, etc & none of it becomes law b/c of undemocratic institutions & influence of big $
Pro tip: if you have the power to provide a disabled student or employee with accommodations for their disability you can just do it without requiring that they complete any paperwork or deal with HR.
