@Ven_VVE Happy 2023 dear Vedrana! My plans to come back to Twitter at one point. Feel like I can't talk much ELT these days, but I might, in the new year. Sending big hugs from Ukraine! ๐๐
I know it has been a while since I joined Twitter conversations. Hope to be more active now! A question for my new project: where do you find good reading texts, dif-t genres/cultures, (semi-)authentic, ideally around 200-300 words. Collecting ideas!
Can't believe it's been 9 years #blogging. Thank you my #PLN for the company. ๐I know I could have been more consistent, write and say more. ๐งถBut... have what we have. โ๏ธTo more writing ahead! โ๏ธ
@Ven_VVE Thank you dear friend! ๐Writing helps, even though I still can't gind the words, or the courage, to reflect on the war do far. I hope to do it, one day.
@ddeubel Thank you for these great resources David! I like the title of the post, and the change to the student's perspective. We may need to focus one of our Reflective Group meetings on this topic actually!
(Un)Planning Our Professional Development https://t.co/cuKtVksM2o > > w/ideas from my kind #PLN. How do you define PD? How does your definition of what (C)PD is impacts what you choose to work on or learn about?
@ELT_CATION Thank you for the recommendation Svetlana! I think we can focus on writing a Manifesto, starting with 'I am on an [ELT] adventure because...' and go from there. a certainly inspiring website. Loved the reference to B. Brown's book(s).
Can the process of Planning be a resilience tool? Preparing for a Reflective Group meeting with my Ukrainian colleagues, and while it is not the time to be focusing on CPD as in the pre-war times, they are voting for this topic. Looking for ideas on making this session special.
@ELT_CATION Challenging, that's true, even in L1. Also, the idea of having 'fave words' is interesting to me. Can't say I think of language(s) this way.
2/2, Files of Excuses, Session task, planning thoughts. How can we help teachers think as leaders: take initiative? Communicate? Ask questions?
Thank you for the picture @Element5Digital
1/2, Files of Excuses. Session task: read the excuse, imagine you hear it from your student, think of your response as a teacher (examples to get us started)
