In the end, when these militant orgs find friction with a DSA elected, the excuses boil down to:
1. this is why we need more electeds
2. well, that group isn’t being serious/realistic
3. the tired “endlessly critiquing power” meme

One thing I never see addressed by the SMC/GW boosters is what should be done when a DSA endorsee pushes for policy that directly contradict the desires of the working class organizations described here with scarequotes as “spadework”. eg: HSVTU and Eunisses in LA

What’s missing from this theory is what does SMC/GW think labor and tenant unions should do? While CC looks to them as democratic laboratories for experimentation, collective thinking, and culture, in my experience, SMC/GW sees them more as a voting base to be mobilized
