1. 💡 GAME IDEA 1-2 weeks: Pick game in good genre for steam. (Friendslop, horror, rage game, simulator etc.)
2. 🎥 TRAILER + STEAM PAGE 1-2 months: Make trailer FIRST [Tell everyone]. Great exercise to clarify game idea before you make it.
3. 🕹️ ITCH PLAYTEST DEMO 1-2 months: If good signal from trailer, make "playtest" demo for https://t.co/bwDoBVQf1m (to get feedback without negative steam score) [Tell everyone]
4. 🎮 STEAM DEMO <1 month: If good signal from "playtest" demo, adjust based on feedback and launch REAL demo on Steam. [Tell everyone]
5. 🎞️ PRE-LAUNCH MARKETING 2-4 months: While building launch version of game, make tons of tik-toks / youtube shorts, enter lots of festivals (next fest, genre festivals) and contact lots of streamers. Build to minimum 10k wishlists.
6. 🚀 LAUNCH GAME: [Tell everyone]. Add patches and updates.

Since like... some days, i had the itch to do a mobile game, I started this small project to study the hybrid casual games. Also i want some mobile games for my portfolio.
@BenjiGameDev 100% true, plus if you want, you can divide all the things you have to do in that big dream game into small things that you can practice in those small games, like you want to do cutscenes? then do a small game with some cutscenes to understand the workflow of it. :)
now that @Halo is being made in @UnrealEngine, it seemed fun to reimagine what Spartan energy shields could look like with a fresh coat of paint — here's my take on some flashy shaders+vfx in engine! ⚡
