@kangmingxuan @middlefeng 我好奇你们当时用 VFSForGit 了吗？我们的 monorepo （我们用的不是 Git）size 比你说的数字大挺多，新人 clone repo 只需要几秒钟，因为我们并没有 download 所有文件，文件是按需加载的。所有操作都尽量做到 O(changes) 复杂度而不是 O(repo)

@shaver @tobi Out of curiosity, for “SQLite got so much faster is all the things they *didn’t* do”. Were you referring to the 50% speedup achieved by hundreds of micro-optimizations mentioned in the link of original tweet or optimizations in general (do less, do faster )?

@fuyufjh @waylybaye 他们有个尝试自动 resolve 功能，应该是在做 world/character level 的 3-way merge

@waylybaye 我们在做，主要是两方面：（1���自动 merge algorithms （比如一些的 adjacent conflicts 或者 subset insertions）;（2）merge conflict resolution UI （可以尝试 word level merge 或者 AI）

TLDR, Sapling began 10 years ago as a variant of Mercurial (hg) and it has evolved into its own source control system that support Git repo as well.
