⁃Over £10,000 spent on camera, lenses, drone and light painting equipments.
⁃At least over £600 spent each year on subscription (subscribed for least over 4 years now) of photo editing software such as Adobe Lightroom and photoshop.
⁃At least over £1000 spent on hard drives for storage of all the photos taken.
⁃Countless of hours spent researching on locations on Google and Google map.
⁃Countless of hours spent on driving to locations.
⁃Countless of hours spent on scouting and planning on the locations before going for the proper shoot on the second trip.
⁃Countless of hours spent and miles covered hiking to locations and back with over 10kg backpacks and tripods.
⁃Countless of hours spent on setting up and the preparation of the shoot at the locations.
⁃Countless of hours spent on editing the photos.
⁃Unknown but probably crazy amount of money spent on petrol to drive to locations for all the shoot.
⁃Again, unknown but crazy amount of mileage have been covered on the car (there and back) travel to all these locations for all the shoots.
⁃Countless amount of hours spent on preparation of works to launch and share with the public.
All of the struggles, processes and time spent on creating art like these are something that only artists themselves will know and endure and not something that other people will be able to see if the artists doesn’t tell or share about it.
I just wanted to share a bit of insights into how long it took me to create what I create and all the struggles that I go through to create what I create. There are more that goes into it than just a simple click of button on the camera like most people sees it. Most people just see the final results. But I do feel it’s important to share the struggles behind it too. Do you think it was all worth it? Maybe? Maybe not? Will let you decide on that one. What I do know is, I will keep creating what I love no matter what.
If you managed to get this far. Thank you for reading. It means the world that anyone even read this far. 🙇♂️
