Pedophile is the latest political buzzword, so politic andies are going to misuse it; a serious clinical term is being diluted for political points.

Pedophilia is defined as having a sexual interest in prepubescent children.

This is different than simply having sexual activity with someone under the age of consent, which is age 16 in the majority of the world.

It's also different from simply having a big age gap. In the eyes of the law and the common persons' morals, once your over the age of consent, you have the ability to make choices for yourself, without anyone else's input.

Most people will mind their business about this and let people be happy, but a minority will suddenly get an urge to treat the younger party (Typically, only if they are a woman) as a victim that must be protected at all cost. (They aren't, leave people alone)

People can have different moral views on it but since everyone is so obsessed with their political identities, they need to partake in the brigading of the other side using the word of the week (Nazi, Racist, Facist, Misogynist, Bigot, and now Pedo) as if they were given instructions to do so from the hivemind.

So yes, it's truly a dystopian world we live in.

Soon the word "Pedophile" will carry no weight because of it and that's the real consequence of the social contagion that has gripped north America, and actual psycho's who sexually desire children (as young as infants) will become LESS accountable as a result.

A company builds a companionship robot, and the immediate reaction is "this is misogyny" because it's female shaped.

No consideration that maybe the company is responding to market demand, or that female companion robots and male companion robots could both exist, or that the article is just showing one product. Just straight to "misogyny."

Modern feminism isn't going to prevent rapes though? If anything it just makes the justice system favor women so the statistics of "99% of rapes are men" just gets more skewed.

The men you deal with today are not the men from 500 years ago. We are not responsible for actions, systems, or norms from centuries before we were born.

None of you lived in that time, yet you keep dragging up history to justify double standards and avoid accountability in the present. That’s not equality…that’s using the past as leverage.

So when you talk about “independence” or claim men can’t handle successful or independent women, it doesn’t land. We grew up going to school with girls, being taught by female teachers, raised by working mothers, and surrounded by women with careers and ambition. Female success isn’t intimidating or new…it’s normal life.

Stop acting like modern men are threatened by something we’ve seen our entire lives. Most of us don’t have an issue with successful women…we have an issue with excuses, entitlement, and lack of accountability being dressed up as empowerment.

You can’t demand equality while also expecting special treatment. You can’t preach independence while shifting blame and responsibility onto others. Adults are responsible for their own choices, regardless of history.
