@Hamishmczzz @simonfromharlow I do get it. As the owner of a cafe - we just give hot drinks away if anyone is buying for someone in need. The markup on coffee is about 95%.

I don’t agree with cafés encouraging people to buy hot drinks for those in need as an act of charity. Just how I feel about it.

@simonfromharlow I’m going to be a bit of a naysayer on this. Unless the place is charging much less for the ‘free coffees’ bought by kind strangers then they’ve got a nice little earner here. Coffee costs very little to make.

I’ve never been comfortable with these ‘pay it forward’ schemes.
