@Felix_Sicard Now you're getting it! The flow on is going to be huge and because we are the 1st we will be paying Leo unders in a very short about of time
@Felix_Sicard And it's still less than 50% of the cap in 27/28. I don't disgree this is extras that we will have to pay but my view is the effect around the league will see players getting paid more like Celebrini, Makar, and Robertson. I think its a positive that we are the 1st off the rank
@PatrickCPresent Leo won't be the highest paid player in the league when the puck drops on Opening night... I honestly believe this, he will be top 5 but Ducks match, Flyers call Celebrini and offer $20m a year
@TeemuFor8ver@ReindeerGames91 We have him till UFA, we keep control of him and we set the market for other players like Celebrini and other young UFA's. I don't hate the move by Flyers, not a fan of the money but the wave that will go through the league will see Leo underpaid in 2 years
@HayesTSN Give me a Gerry's that Leo will be the highest paid player by the start of training camp... because I think there will be a wave effect, not a ripple.
@paulyhoward Couldn't agree with you more, VAR has ruined football because when you slow anything down it looks worse than it actually is. Every reply should be in real-time at game speed. Goals that are given should be just that, stop with reviewing everything
Spurs agree Sandro Tonali fee with Newcastle of a club record £92.5m with £7.5m in add-ons, as per @David_Ornstein. Means Tottenham have committed £237m on fees alone for three new players for Roberto De Zerbi, with another three free transfers, all by July 1. Big club moves.
Aside from keeping Jacob Trouba, are there any deals you’ve seen today that make you say “damn, Ducks missed out on that player”?
I really don’t know that I’ve seen one yet.
