Hi Crime Watch, please share. I would like to report an incident that happened to me today, 17 June 2026, at around 4:00 pm on Seke Road, near the flyover leading into Harare city centre.
There was a police roadblock stopping vehicles, and I was stopped by a female police officer. She asked for my driving licence, which I handed to her. She then instructed me to park on the side of the road.
After that, she told me to switch off the engine and hand over my car keys. She walked away to join other officers who were attending to other vehicles. After a while, they returned my car keys and told me that I was free to leave.
Before driving away, I asked for my driving licence back. The officer searched her pockets and then claimed that she had already returned it to me. She said she could not have been holding both my keys and my licence at the same time.
I explained that she had not returned my licence, but she denied it. Some of the other officers also supported her and told me to go to the charge office. They then got into their vehicles and drove away.
When I went to the charge office, I did not find any of the officers there. I also checked with the Traffic Department, where I was told that there had been no roadblock operating at around 4:00 pm. I asked for a police report so that I could formally report the matter, but I was told that it was not possible, even though my licence is clearly missing.
I suspect that my driving licence may have been mistakenly given to another motorist at the roadblock.
If anyone has been given a driving licence belonging to Innocent Gwatidzo, please contact me on 078 252 1163.

I stand to benefit PERSONALLY from CAB 3. By all selfish calculations, I should support it. Some have whispered, "Take the opportunity while it is there." But leadership is not measured by what benefits us; it is measured by what benefits the people. When I asked myself, WHAT ABOUT THE PEOPLE? I found every reason to OPPOSE it.

I think heartbreak is having an opposition MP whom you actually spent the night waiting for ballot papers to arrive to vote for , standing tall in Parliament saying CAB3 Bho Zvekuti๐ญ๐ญ. But mother โฆ.
