someone explained it to me like this:
your anxiety keeps asking for certainty before you act. life never gives certainty first. it gives you the opportunity, then asks if you trust yourself enough to take it
I sit quietly and realize that God has been taking care of me this whole time. Maybe not in luxurious ways. Maybe not an easy life. But through protection, provision, good health, surviving hard days and always having just enough to keep going.
It gets to a point where you’ve just got to stop correcting bad behavior and simply end the relationship.
Else, you’ll be in a constant loop of complain > reconcile > bad pattern repeats itself > complain > reconcile…
Some of you really leave deep scars on people who came into your life with nothing but genuine love and good intentions. It’s sad how unfair, selfish, careless, and hurtful that can be. The worst part is giving someone another reason to stop believing in love altogether. But one thing remains true: what you put into the world always finds its way back to you.
You have no business forgiving cheating. Now you can’t watch polygamist cos you’re going to relate to everything and get triggered….Pain ya thoma gape😭✋🏿
I hate it when people say, “You'll get through this.”😒
I've been getting through things my entire life. I'm tired of just getting through things, I want to feel light, I want to feel safe in my own life, I want to stop carrying things I never chose to carry, I want to exist without constantly feeling like something bad is about to happen..😭💔
“Loving someone but not choosing them” isn’t love to me at all. I don’t believe you can genuinely love someone while continuously lacking the capacity to show up for them properly. Real love should naturally produce care, consideration, effort and emotional security.
Getting married is an act of faith, because there’s no perfect partner and no perfect readiness to marry.
There’s only, “I have entered this covenant trusting that He who began this good work in us will bring it to completion.”
You can read all the books. Watch all the documentaries. Listen to all the stories. But nothing, and I mean nothing, will prepare you for certain moments in life until you're standing in them yourself. Marriage. Divorce. Childbirth. Losing someone you love. Parenting. They all look so different when it's your heart on the line. Your choices. Your pain. Your mess. Your miracle.
It's easy to sit on the outside with theories, opinions, and assumptions. It's easy to think you'd handle it better. Until life turns to you and says, "Your turn." And suddenly, you understand. You understand the tears. The silence. The fight to keep going. The strength it takes to show up when everything feels heavy. The courage it takes to start over.
Life has a way of humbling us all. So be slow to judge, quick to offer grace, and always remember, what you don't understand today, you just might face tomorrow. We're all just figuring it out as we go. And that's more than okay.
