Yuta Jinguji became famous with the hugely popular Japanese Boy Band ' King & Prince' which debuted in 2018 with the single “Cinderella Girl", and greatly contributed to the group becoming one of Japan’s top-selling acts. In 2023, Yuta left the group and agency to co-found the hugely successful J-pop trio #Number_i under TOBE with #ShoHirano and #YutaKishi and became even more famous as the singer, dancer, and all-round idol/performer of the new group. He is also a producer and creative contributor who has taken the lead on multiple tracks, including “INZM, “Square_One,” “Yumeno Tsuzuki,” and “Hanabira ga Mau Hi ni,”. Number_i has achieved major commercial success with chart-topping releases including multiple Oricon and Billboard Japan No. 1s. Jinguji has also starred in dramas such as 'Associate Professor Akira Takatsuki’s Inference' and 'Uketsuke no Jō', holds a karate black belt from his youth, and has become a fashion ambassador for Mikimoto, Givenchy Beauty, and Amiri.

In 2023, Yuta with Sho Hirano and Yuta Kishi, formed Number_i, which has also become one of the top-selling Japanese bands in a very short span of time! As the youngest member of the group, Yuta’s natural charm and quiet strength beautifully illuminates Number_i’s music and story. With the other members of Number_i, Yuta takes part in every step of creating music, from conceptualizing songs to track-down production, a commitment that has been highly praised by all. Their sincere approach to music continues to create songs that are loved by millions of fans.

Number_i's first digital single "GOAT" was released on January 1, 2024, and was a top seller, moving 481,475 copies in its first week and topping the Billboard Japan Weekly Single Sales Chart! Their 2nd digital single "Blow Your Cover" was released on April 12, 2025, to coincide with their debut at Coachella on the '88rising Futures' stage. The group brought the house down at the biggest US music festival, performing "FUJI", and a remix version of "GOAT" with GOT7's Jackson Wang which went straight to No. 1 on the US iTunes hip-hop chart the next day! On May 27, 2024 they released their first album 'No. O: Ring' powered by its title track "BON", which blended hip-hop with traditional Japanese elements. The song reached No. 1 on the June 5 Oricon Weekly Digital Singles chart with 60,120 downloads in its first week, and hit #2 on YouTube’s Worldwide Music Video Chart! 'No. O: Ring' reached No. 1 on the June 5 Oricon Weekly Digital Albums chart, with 31,804 downloads in the first week! Their 4th single, "INZM", released on August 28, 2024, debuted at #1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100. Their first self titled album, 'Number_1', released on September 23, 2024, debuted at #26 on the Worldwide iTunes Album chart and No. 1 on the Japan Hot Albums chart, selling 412,442 units. It showcased Yuta's amazing "rainbow" voice! On May 19, 2025, Number_i released their 3rd EP, 'GOD_i', powered by their 5th single of the same name! The album debuted at No. 19 on the Worldwide iTunes Album chart, also reaching No. 116 on US iTunes and No. 155 on the Worldwide Apple Music Album chart. It debuted at #3 on the Japan Comb. Albums chart. In 2025, Number_i delivered a powerful performance at the Head in the Clouds festival in Los Angeles (May 31 - Jun 1) that mesmerized the crowd. Their 6th single "U.M.A.", topped the Billboard Japan Hot 100 Downloads chart, and ranked No. 50 on the Worldwide iTunes Song chart, reaching No. 58 on the YouTube Global Music Video chart! A 2nd track, 'NUrZ', debuted at No. 63 on the Worldwide iTunes song chart and climbed to No. 10 on the YouTube Global Video chart! Their 2nd full album Number_11 was released on September 22, 2025, and reached No.18 on the Worldwide iTunes Album chart!

On May 18, 2026, Number_i announced they had signed with Atlantic Records in the U.S., marking a major step toward their global expansion. On September 23, 2026, Number_i released their new triple A-side single, “REBON / BUGS LIFE / DIGITAL GIRL.” The single debuted at #8 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart, making it the Top New Entry, with all three songs charting on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart. In Japan, the single debuted at #1 on the iTunes Album Chart, while Number_i dominated the Japan iTunes Song Chart with six songs in the Top 8, including “DIGITAL GIRL” at #1.

Number_i are a Powerhouse live touring act as All 3 can really sing and have quickly established themselves as a strong live act, completing two major arena tours that each 300,000 fans with the 2024 No.I tour visiting 7 cities with 26 shows and the 2025 No.II tour visiting 8 cities with 25 shows! In October 2026 they launched their first 5-major-dome tour (No.III), the Japan leg of their 1st World Tour, kicking off at Sapporo Dome and covering Tokyo Dome, Kyocera Dome Osaka, Vantelin Dome Nagoya, and Mizuho PayPay Dome Fukuoka across 10 shows, with Asia & North America dates planned for 2027. All three members of Number_i are praised for their solid live vocals while dancing, and the group has brought the house down at festivals including Coachella and Head in the Clouds.

Yuta, as part of Number_i, has already won several Music Awards! The group won the GQ Men of the Year award in 2024! At the 2025 MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN the group won 2 fan-voted Awards including 'Best of Listeners' Choice: Japanese Song' for "GOAT" and 'the Oshi-Katsu Request Artist of the Year'. In 2026, Yuta and Number_i won JAPAN’s Best of Listeners’ Choice Japanese Song for the 2nd year in a row with “GOD_i.”

Yuta is also a talented Actor and made his acting debut in 2012 in the Nippon Television drama Sprout, followed by '49' in 2013, 'SHARK ~2nd Season' in 2014, 'Youth Detective Haruya' in 2015 and 'Bukatsu, Suki Janakya Dame Desu ka?' in 2018! He also had a supporting role in the 2019 film According to Our Butler and leading roles such as Naoya Fukamachi in Junkyouju Takatsuki Akira no Suisatsu (and its sequel) in 2021 and Takumi Jo in Uketsuke no Jo in 2022!

Yuta is a Fashion-forward figure, and has starred on the cover of various publications including GQ Japan in December 2023! He is the Global Ambassador for the world-renowned jewelry brand MIKIMOTO, embodying refined elegance and grace. On June 25, 2024, he caused a media stir at MIKIMOTO’s high jewelry collection event at the Hôtel d’Évreux in Place Vendôme, Paris, wearing the new 'The Bows', and charmed everyone with his elegance and grace. In February, 2025, he was appointed the new ambassador for Givenchy Beauty, for his unique blend of classic sophistication and modern sensibility. In January 2026 he was appointed Amiri’s global ambassador, further extending the fashion-forward side of his profile.

Yuta is also a collector of vintage items, and is a fervent motorcycle lover and the owner of 3 Harley-Davidsons! In 2024, he was the star of the Japan Grand Prix 2024, waving the chequered flag! His wide-ranging interests reflect his distinctive aesthetic and artistic depth. His refined taste and attention to detail reveal the beauty in the way he lives and creates as an artist.

Yuta is also involved in charity. As part of Number_i, he co-wrote the lyrics for the song “Be on Your Side, performed by the TOBE collective to HEROes, with proceeds from the track and related events supporting recovery efforts for those affected by the 2024 Noto Peninsula earthquake, including children in the region.

What continues to draw fans to Yuta is the quiet sincerity he brings to everything he does. Right now he is fully focused on Number_i and on growing as an artist who shapes his own sound!
