I kept leaving calls with no idea who agreed to do what, so I built Afterword.
It notices when a Zoom, Meet or Teams call starts, writes everything down on your Mac while you talk, and has the notes ready when you hang up. No bot joins the call. Nothing gets uploaded.
Building SaaS as a solo founder and documenting the process.
Looking to #connect with other people who are shipping products, handling distribution, and learning in public.

The hardest part of a meeting-notes app: when you install it, you don't have a meeting.
So Afterword now has a 40-second sample call built in. Press it and 3 seconds later you're reading a real note: summary, decisions, action items with owners, every line labeled with who said it.
Shipped 10 updates to my Mac app in 36 hours. Almost all came from user' feedback.
The best one: someone ran it on a Spanish Teams call and the summary came out in English.
Fixed it by detecting the call's language and telling the on-device model to answer in it. Turned out every language was affected, not just Spanish.
Lesson: the first users find the bugs you'd never test for. Reply to all of them.
24 of 25 free lifetime licenses for Afterword are gone.
One left. After that it's $4/month (7 days free).
Afterword writes the notes for your Zoom, Meet and Teams calls, entirely on your Mac. No bot joins your call.
Apple's built-in speech model vs NVIDIA Parakeet, on noisy meeting audio. Word error rates on my test calls:
Your side, office noise + echo: 10.3% → 1.5%
Your side, loud chatter + strong echo: 33.1% → 13.8%
Their side, bad connection: 6.9% → 1.6%
Both run entirely on the Mac. Afterword now lets you switch to Parakeet with one toggle.
I'm giving 5 lifetime Afterword licenses to people who live in meetings.
Reply with what your week of calls looks like (how many, what kind). I'll pick 5 tonight.
Afterword sits in your Mac's menu bar and writes the notes for every Zoom, Meet and Teams call. On your Mac, no bot in the call.
