Some of the videos, including those involving very young children, were leaked to overseas websites. He also sexually assaulted several of the girls or committed acts equivalent to rape.
He was sentenced to 7 years in prison and has appealed the ruling.

A man in his 60s drove an excavator to his ex-girlfriend’s home and demanded that she get back together with him. When she refused, he assaulted her. He returned to her home again when she still would not agree, and after she reported him, the police sent him back home. However, he later drank alcohol, returned once more in the excavator, threatened to “tear the house down,” and assaulted her son.

A 41-year-old man killed his girlfriend and kept her body in a kimchi refrigerator for about a year. During that time, he used her phone to send messages to her acquaintances in order to make it appear as though she was still alive. He was sentenced to 40 years in prison.

A man entered a women’s restroom disguised as a woman, wearing a female wig and breast prosthetics, and secretly filmed women for six hours. He had committed the same offense in the past, and about 100 related videos have been found on his phone to date.

A man beat his ex-wife to death and then disposed of her body in a drainage canal. His sons reported him, stating that “their father must be isolated from society.”

After killing her, he placed her body in a travel suitcase and abandoned it in a drainage canal in the mountains.

According to them, he had often said things like, “She should die soon,” and regularly assaulted her whenever situations did not go his way. The children themselves were also frequently abused but were too afraid to report him.

In one incident, the eldest son left home after a confrontation with his father. The man then threatened the rest of the family, saying, “If you contact him, I will kill you,” which prevented the siblings from seeing each other for two years.

He was also largely unemployed and continued to live off his ex-wife’s money even after their divorce. She not only supported herself but also financially supported her ex-husband and his parents. Despite this, he took out loans in her name to travel abroad and transferred ownership of properties into his own name.

On the day of the incident, the son saw his mother preparing to go to work and left for school. After arriving at school, he realized that she had not shown up for work and that her phone was turned off. He immediately reported the situation, but she was later found dead.

One of the sons stated, “I saw the crime scene reconstruction myself. He grabbed my mother as she was heading to work, started beating her at the entrance, dragged her into the bedroom, and continued beating her until she died. Normally, a person would stop if someone loses consciousness.”

The sons argued that the crime was premeditated, pointing out that he strangled their mother until her death and removed the SIM card from her phone.

A man who murdered his girlfriend and kept her body concealed in cement for 16 years was finally brought to light.

In 2024, a woman’s body was discovered during construction work at a house in Geoje aimed at fixing a rainwater leak. The body had been tightly wrapped in multiple layers of vacuum-sealed plastic, with a towel around her neck. Due to the thick cement and sealed plastic, the body had not decomposed despite the passage of 16 years.

Through fingerprint identification, the victim was confirmed to be Jeong So-yeon, who had previously been reported missing. The perpetrator was her boyfriend, with whom she had been living.

In an attempt to reduce his sentence, he insulted her and claimed he committed the crime because she had been unfaithful. However, she was found wearing a sanitary pad, and no drugs of any kind were detected in her body.

According to people who knew her, she had long suffered physical abuse at his hands, often bearing bruises, and had been forced into prostitution to repay his debts, living a life akin to slavery.

He lived in the house where her body was buried for about eight years, until he was arrested in 2016 on drug-related charges.

Although the murder went unnoticed, the discovery of her body during construction led to his arrest 16 years later. He was subsequently sentenced to 14 years in prison.

He then filed a complaint against her, claiming that she prevented him from escaping and assaulted him. The woman denied ever assaulting him, but the court imposed a fine on her for assault.

A man, facing financial difficulties in his real estate business, murdered his wife and staged the crime as a traffic accident to collect hundreds of millions of won in compensation.

He used the insurance money to purchase alcohol and a car, and drove without a license.

He also committed rental deposit fraud against 36 people and embezzled maintenance fees from 34 others.

The victims of his fraud, along with his own daughter, strongly appealed for strict punishment. He was ultimately sentenced to a total of 40 years in prison on charges including murder and rental fraud.

A 28-year-old man assaulted his girlfriend because she refused to have sexual intercourse. He attacked her eyes, and when she fled to the bathroom, he broke down the door and threatened her with a weapon. As a result of the assault, she underwent surgeries including retinal repair and intraocular lens implantation, and is currently suffering from aftereffects such as metamorphopsia (visual distortion).

A 23-year-old man, Jang Yoon-gi, who murdered a female high school student walking down the street, was found to have acted with the intent to commit rape.

He attempted to strangle her and drag her toward his vehicle, but when she resisted strongly, he killed her.

Initially, the police believed his motive was “venting frustration.” He had previously approached a 20-year-old Vietnamese woman, but after she rejected him, he stalked and sexually assaulted her.

Although she reported him, the police closed the case without a formal investigation. Enraged by being reported, he decided to kill her, but after she moved to another area, he was unable to find her. Instead, he targeted a different female high school student, attempting to rape her, and killed her when she resisted.

Prosecutors determined that the methods and patterns of sexual crimes he committed against both the Vietnamese woman and the high school student were similar, and decided to charge him with rape and murder, among other offenses.

Another disturbing detail is that a sex doll was found in his home, and its neck and chest had been slashed multiple times with a knife. The area where he stabbed the female high school student was also the neck, and he had likewise attempted to stab the Vietnamese woman in the neck.

Additionally, it was revealed that last year he had secretly filmed a female middle school student multiple times.

The victim’s family stated, “He had already committed crimes in the past, yet proper punishment was not carried out in time, which ultimately led to this crime against our child. Facing his shameless lack of remorse is an unbearable pain for our family,” and they demanded strict punishment.
