A decorated Marine who served as Chief Security Officer to Abdul El-Sayed says the Michigan Democrat is not fit for the Senate and would put U.S. interests in danger.

Jordan Domingue resigned in January after getting to know El-Sayed. He warns the candidate’s antisemitic rhetoric, pro-Islamist sympathies, and foreign-policy positions would endanger Israeli civilians, American personnel, and U.S. interests.

On a leaked March 1 strategy call, El-Sayed refused to comment on the killing of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei because “there are a lot of people in Dearborn who are sad today.”

After the March 12 Hezbollah-inspired attack on a synagogue and preschool in West Bloomfield — where Ayman Mohamed Ghazali rammed a truck loaded with fireworks and explosives into the building — El-Sayed blamed Israeli leaders instead of naming Hamas, Hezbollah, or Iran.

He has cozied up to Hasan Piker, who said “America deserved 9/11,” voiced support for Hamas, and was suspended by Twitch over terrorist propaganda. Six days after West Bloomfield, El-Sayed posted a photo with a woman in a Piker shirt.

His close friend and top surrogate, Dearborn school board member Amer Zahr, supports Hamas and Hezbollah and told activists in 2021: “Stop condemning anti-Semitism and condemning terrorism right now. Stop it!”
Domingue calls El-Sayed a “chameleon” who uses “strategic ambiguity” on Iran, notes his Oct. 7 fundraising email never said Hamas launched the attack and killed innocent women and children, and says he regrets excusing antisemitism and not leaving sooner.

El-Sayed opposes U.S. funding for Iron Dome. Domingue warns that leaves Jews, Christians, Muslims, Druze, American diplomats, troops, and U.S. visitors exposed to Hamas and Hezbollah.

He refused the campaign’s money rather than sign a nondisparagement deal. He wanted voters warned.
Republicans say this is more proof El-Sayed is a radical who will not condemn terrorism and puts extremism over American national security.
