I never understood why nobody noticed how sick my mom was or tried to save me from her, but as an adult I get it.

@LacrimosaX67910 @Sinead_OBrien5 @crystaljpropes @mabbe_8 The caveat is this was over 7 years. The longer it went on the more "slipped". The symptoms changed over time. She had periods of flat affect, anxiety, etc. Early on they weren't obvious, & even when they were nobody could have imagined what she was thinking.

She was quiet, cried a lot, looked at people suspiciously but didn't start verbalizing her paranoia in any way for a long time and even then it was limited.

@LacrimosaX67910 @Sinead_OBrien5 @crystaljpropes @mabbe_8 Not before her hospitalization. She just didn't eat. My pepa tied her hands & forced her in the car bc she didn't want to go. The poison comment was made to a doctor after she had meds. At no time was she incoherent. Most people had no idea.

@LacrimosaX67910 @Sinead_OBrien5 @crystaljpropes @mabbe_8 I get it. It's hard to prove hearing voices or psychosis. My mom wasn't diagnosed with schizophrenia until she stopped eating & almost died. She quit eating bc she thought I was poisoning her food. I was 12. She got sick when I was 5. 7 yrs of hell.

@LacrimosaX67910 @mabbe_8 Actually it is a hallucination. Delusions are fixed beliefs people hold even after the beliefs is proven wrong. A delusion would be thinking the FBI is spying on you to kill you. A hallucination would be the FBI agent in front of you said he will kill you.

@Lillyin_London I'm a nurse and also a child of a paranoid schizophrenic. Clancy was undoubtedly sick. No amount of you talking down to others will change that. The problem is folks trying to make sense of something that makes no sense.

@justlarry315 They are trying to add any deceptive qualities they can. They didn't have to do any of this bc Lindsey was going to stipulate to her guilt and just have a "sentencing" trial. Prosecutor knew she had a better chance if she tortured people with the details.

@cpickles32 @FrenchJule @Lillyin_London I am perplexed people think a delusional person would follow a tx plan or be forthcoming. That is the entire point. If reality for that person isn't real how would she? Psychosis is rarely willingly or quickly treated. You can't rationalize the irrational.

@nancy__shaw My mom has paranoid schizophrenia. I spent most of my childhood w/ her in active psychosis. She "functioned" a lot of that time while being completely detached from reality. It's a miracle I survived. If you think it's impossible i'm here to say it isn't.
