I joined X in 2009. Then I disappeared for 16 years.
I wasn't posting. I was in the arena.
Scaled a global company from 28 to 485 people. $80M → $2.5B in transaction value.
6 acquisitions. Exit to a NYSE company.
18 years serving the world's wealthiest families.
I watched from the sidelines while everyone became a thought leader. I was too busy operating.
I thought Twitter was noise. I was wrong.
The smartest operators, investors, and builders are here — sharing real lessons at speed.
That's valuable.
I'm late to the conversation. But I'm not late to the work.
Not here with theories. Here with receipts.
Follow along.
Does anyone know if one can turn off Opus? I have a max subscription on Claude and my ClaudeOps bot handles everything in Claude if it needs to. My Supergrok Heavy Plan uses too many credits.
I want GrokBot to use Grok and have a decent amount of credit burn, not go through the allocation in about 12 hours now with Opus. My bots will choose which LLM to use based on my specific setup, I don’t need GrokBot to make that decision for me.
@melvindvivas 1. Figure out billing and subscriptions.
2. I’d love to share bots between people, ie have one bot link in to multiple accounts to collaborate.
@elonmusk - Love Grok Bot. Biggest unlock I've ever had - ever.
I run 3 companies plus the personal side. 40 bots. It’s amazing.
Only real ask is more compute. 16 GB RAM isn't enough when many of those desks are browsers with someone logged in. More memory is what would make the entire company real.
I researched this last week. Here is what I found: Supergroup Heavy and Cursor Ultra have the same Grokbot limits. I personally have the SuperGrok Heavy Plan. Then I also have my CC on file to run extra as I usually blow through my GrokBot allocation in about a day.
It is a mission to figure out what comes from where, lots of misinformation out there, and not a great experience. I do hope they solidify their plans properly soon.
@SawyerMerritt I somewhat agree with the cyberpunk look. As a concept it’s cool, but usability…. Eh. Weird interior, 4 seats only, outdated tech from the start, doesn’t drive itself, charging port located up front again?? Mark my words, my bet is that this will be a flop.
My theory all along!! I bet this will happen. Last year the stock ticker “X” became available for the first time in over a century. There was a short chit chat with Elon about it and then the post disappeared….plus someone bought the “X” ticker….
Pure speculation here, but I wouldn’t be surprised if X - after the SpaceX + Tesla merger - became the new company name altogether with the correlating ticker.
Just a gut feeling.
