@millystilly_@mitxhelI Your 5th pick was a bust.
Langdon turned your bust into a new Guard with more potential than Ivey had.
Dosunmu costs $22m/yr
Okorie costs $4m/yr
@ownpstm 35% on 6 per game is an average 3pt shooter on substantial volume.
Whether it translates to NBA 3pt line, who knows, but if he's even just a 35% shooter in NBA that would be fine.
@Traeshmaen Another difference is IQ.
Ivey had low IQ (and high turnovers) from the start and never improved either.
Okorie has high IQ and low turnovers from start.
@Jayroberts9769@KevinOConnor Are you stupid? Brunson just led Knicks to championship at 6-2. Isiah led Pistons to 2 titles at 6-1.
Ben Wallace led Pistons to a title as a 6-7 Center.
Talent always supersedes height.
Landenborg will be a role player at best in NBA.
Okorie has star potential.
@KevinOConnor If he pans out, it would allow Pistons to move Cunningham to SG/SF, which is his ideal position imo
An elite athlete who takes care of the ball is exactly what you want at PG next to Cade to offset his weaknesses (athleticism/turnovers).
@eric_ikyg Sasser avg 17 PPG as a senior.
Okorie avg 23 PPG as a freshman.
Apples & Oranges.
Okorie's floor is Cam Thomas + better defense, but he has star potential imo
@riger1984 Pistons fans are idiots.
Langdon got the 7th best scorer in the draft (a 23 PPG Freshman) with the 28th pick, and it only cost Ivey + some 2nd rd picks.
Pistons needed more scorers/creators and got one of the best in the draft. What else do fans want from a late 1st rd pick?
@larrybaker171@TheDetroitElite They got the 7th leading scorer in the draft with 17th pick (23.2 PPG).
He's also a pest on defense avg 1.6 SPG w/ elite athleticism.
That's star potential.
Can't ask for more of a splash than that when you had 21st pick going into the draft (which was originally 28th pick).
@TheDetroitElite Cunningham is not a PG.
He's a playmaking SG/Point-Forward.
Turns it over too much & lacks downhill speed to play PG.
Okorie has speed + takes better care of ball.
NCAA
Okorie 1.9 TO on 31.0 USG
Cade 4.0 TO on 29.0 USG
Move Cade to SG/SF, develop Okorie into PG of future.
@JamG_91@RichardPrince_ Heat got Giannis for very little, in terms of special assets.
It was just Herro and a bunch of 1st rd picks (not even any top-5 picks). Every team has a player Herro's caliber and mid-late 1st rd picks to trade.
@RichardPrince_ If Pistons could get Edwards, you trade everything but Cunningham.
Ausar, Duren, and all your FRPs.
Cunningham/Edwards is a duo you can build a dynasty around.
@chellgod They just got him 5 min ago.
They will be contenders by the playoffs.
Anyone who thinks Pat Riley doesn't know how to build a contender doesn't know basketball.
Getting a star to build around is the tough part. Putting role players around him is the easy part.
@mc142609 Choosing Ron Holland over Herro is crazy.
Herro would make more of an impact on Pistons than Holland, Stewart, and 21st pick combined.
Holland/Stewart are unplayable bench players and late-1st rookie wouldn't even make the rotation.
