it seems like being a doctor or lawyer are no longer really status symbols in society.
i suspect that will continue to accelerate even further down as ai shifts the landscape on professional identity. even the idea of having a professional identity now seems kinda archaic & absurd all around.
at some point these professions defined status & class like no other.
I love biographies. They sort of help you set the real threshold of ambition. You read a guy had a strange routine or obsession and the bar starts to move in your head.
