Tomorrow, July 3 at 8:00 AM BST / 3:00 AM EST we are planning to install patch 1.0.6.0 for #EscapefromTarkov.
The installation will take between 4 and 6 hours, but may be extended if required. The game will be unavailable during this time.
A Path of Exile 2 player willingly deleted their level 100 character so everyone else in the league could get a buff.
The new “Martyr of the First Edict” mechanic lets the first player to hit level 100 sacrifice their character, permanently deleting it in exchange for giving every other player an extra passive skill point.
Streamer cArn was one of the first to do it, deleting his fully geared level 100 Titan.
His character is gone, but it is now permanently remembered on the league ladder as a “Martyr of the First Edict.”
Players are calling it one of the coolest additions to Path of Exile 2.
Honestly not sure where the negative reaction is coming from. Almost every change in today's update is a player-side buff:
› Rogues take longer to spot you and react
› Knight can no longer clip through a door and delete you
› Black Division spreads out more in the engine room before spotting players, not after
› They throw flash and tear gas more often and they're easier to kill mid-throw
› Smokes cheese weren't touched at all.
Engine room should NOT be harder. We saw no increased difficulty during testing. But if for some reason it became harder, we'll revert the changes.
The in-game event “Tarkov Hospitality” is live in #EscapefromTarkov.
Summer has arrived in Tarkov, and things are already heating up. Motivated by the success of the new Arena season, Ref is eager to secure new places to hold fights at. His men have been spotted on Shoreline, Customs, and even around the nature reserve. Jaeger refuses to stand by and watch this happen and is determined to fight back.
The contribution of PMCs in this conflict will determine which locations become available for Arena fights first. You can take part and influence the outcome in both PvP and PvE Zone. The max number of player Scavs on Shoreline, Customs, and Woods has been temporarily reduced.
The event will run until June 12.
New patch is being installed right now. New location (probably reachable via transits) is a PvE-only Icebreaker (probably changes to PvP after the event).
New Launcher Code: BACKTORAID
@Velion Def P2W in terms of winning your time back. Might sound like nothing but the fact is your saving hundreds of hours to reach level 42 and max traders compared to a standard account. Obviously kinda shows they need money after the 1.0 didn't perform to how they expected
Read through the current event lore in Tarkov.
From context, seems like rogues are trying to contact a 'vessel'... outside the shoreline, which is likely icebreaker
If this is correct, shoreline will be junction point of
*Terminal*, *Labyrinth*, *Icebreaker*
No more Snoreline😳
