@J_RomanceWriter Published novel is 110k. I have a lot of first drafts done ranging from 170-550k. Some too l9ng to even attempt publishing without ripping into pieces.

Everyone is saying that they would give it back, but how many do you really think would do that?
It's one thing theoretically, but I'd venture that most people, holding it in their hands, wouldn't be able to give it up. I'm disabled and I'd lose my insurance with that much money and have six figure medical bills, so I might have to if i couldn't find a worthwhile investment to make that money into more. That being said, i'll be honest, i probably wouldn't give it back. I think i'd give half to charity dedicated to chronic illness/ child cancer research and the other half would go into publishing and marketing my novels.

@jodyjsperling It would be a mix, the money doesn't matter much, but the name recognition does. I would reach out and offer assistance with a sequence in exchange for credit in that writing, then pivot it towards my own purposes. The confidence alone would do wonders for my future writing.
