I’ve been alive since the last title-winning season (86-87). WTF are we talking about here? We’re on course for our 20th top 10 season in that time and 10 will have involved Moyes (who has managed us for 13 seasons). 8 of his 10 were 7th or higher… we did that 3 other times

@SamNeter Govts (local and national) need to completely reimagine the way that unused land (though arguably much more) is thought about. In the same way they’ve killed the high street with Victorian policies and rates, they have stifled non-traditional/indoor sports clubs

@SamNeter This is an endemic issue - leagues rebranding and not maintaining lineage, 'phoenix' clubs and breakaways, the attrition of people out of the game due to its treatment of them so that contribution is minimised to stories/POV of 'survivors' etc...

Big win tonight - we have good players who are incredibly well coached. Winning comfortably against a Euro comp side with 5 guaranteed starters missing speaks to that. People need to to resist the need to react online to every touch and let people work #UTFT

The problem we have with getting signings at Everton is we’ve been shite for 35 years… I was born near the start of the last title season. The sorts of player we’re looking at could just about be my son… the generational stories are so disparate. Same issue facing others
