I'm seeing two trains of thought about the #Trumpcoin and #MelaniaMeme on here: one good, one bad.

Personally, I don't mind meme coins; I know they're essentially gambling coins. The problem is that many new to crypto might not realize this, and that’s where the issue lies.

We had an opportunity to onboard the masses into crypto, but I wish it had been through a utility token. That way, people could experience the real value and potential of what crypto has to offer.

Instead, the takeaway for many is frustration—difficulty buying tokens, and even 6 hours later, some still haven’t received their @solana. This wasn’t just a failure; it was an epic miss. It could have been a moment of glory for crypto adoption.

I got into crypto through a meme coin, so I know it can be a starting point. I hope some of the non-crypto natives stick around to explore more, because #Crypto is worth the journey. Just not like this.
