Hiked Fairchild Mountain via the southeast slope. Great views of Ypsilon Mountain and the Fay Lakes to the south, and Hagues Peak and Crystal Lakes to the north.
I’m in Glacier National Park with @thornmallow ! Today we hiked the Highline Trail. The day started out enveloped by clouds, and gradually cleared for huge vistas.
There was something sad about Glacier. The vast airy gorges - minus the glaciers that made them and the people that lived there.
That's true everywhere in the West, but in Glacier it's still raw.
