the real answer is that the infrastructure isn’t fully formalized, but its not far away at all

I replied to the original post because this is something I’ve experimented and fleshed out a bit.

Something like @tldraw exists today, and is the perfect sdk to facilitate into llm/agent computing into “drawing”. however as a canvas it relies on x,y coordinates/data.

To my knowledge there exists a ton of formalized databases of human handwriting by the pixel, and maybe a little less by stroke location and trajectory.

But the work hasn’t been done yet to think of these datasets in the context of llm productions through an sdk. Even less work has been done to bring an sdk like this to the user-facing GPT context.

This is honestly just larger interaction design, and the AI world is only just diving into developing novel interaction design.

The more popular developments in interactions and AI are real-time voice conversation or TTS. And it’s really only just getting started. Maybe around 2 years ago LLM providers didn’t even have a dictation/conversate button.

There’s also some design aspects like which handwriting/drawing ‘font’ is the most readable/efficient for an AI to have.

Where creating that wouldn’t just be a worse communication method in comparison to just using typeface or html segment (with some aesthetic easing)

I think developments like this will come so soon, especially seeing it come to life in demos, but it will take a while before its produced by frontier-labs.

The thought process really is just:
how much of the current AI customer base will even want to interact with handwriting, and is it profitable for companies right now to develop it, and commit to sustaining it.
