The Springfield, Ohio story reminds me of the "Ilhan Omar married her brother" story.

When you first read it, you think "This is so ridiculous. It can't be true." Then you do some research (eg read the stories on https://t.co/hOUNz7RWJ2) and you think "Holy crap, it is true."
