@tjc1_tom @mike_adama@DefundBBC@LordBrexit the amount of black people is arrested is disproportionate to those who serve time in prisons. Black people are 5x more likely to be arrested than white people in the UK but white privilege doesn’t exist?

Furthermore, the graph on the left is only arrest rate and doesn’t show the incarceration rate or the disparities in sentencing. Black people make up 35% of arrests but only 25% of the prison population, proving that (1)
@the_wildfire001 @bbcbitesize@JohnAmaechi The poverty rate for black Africans in the uk is 45% whilst it’s 20% for white british; black African/Caribbean/black British employees on average earn 5-10% less than their white counterparts and black people are 53% more likely to be sent to prison for an indictable offence.
