Inspired by the Pharaohs of ancient Egypt, skirted look features an almost shirtless styling, opting for a red and white scarf to emulate the colors of the Egyptian flag as well as the broad collar adornment worn by Pharaohs of the past called the Usekh, or Wesekh.
21. The Netherlands
Following the tricolor of the Dutch flag, this look takes direct inspiration from traditional attire worn by sailors in the fishing village of Volendam in the 1900s, which featured wide legged trousers, designed to fill with air and provide buoyancy if one fell overboard. The look though following the tricolor of the Dutch flag, features a hint of orange which is a significant part of Dutch history, which can be traced all the way back to the Dutch royal family. The colors historical popularity is said to have been was popularized by Willem the Silent, and was even one of the three colors in the original Dutch flag.
22. The Philippines
This look takes inspiration from the color and design of the flag of the Philippines as well as the colors. It takes stylistic inspiration from the baro’t saya, which is a traditoinal ensemble worn by women in the Philippines.
