I haven’t posted because I realized I need to focus on a #book. 📖
It’s about a shift in #HR and a new #methodology I’ve built and practiced for years.
One that can change how we hire, evaluate, and build teams.
More soon. 🚀
@Abhinavstwt I was told I was underqualified for specific role. I was told that I was overqualified for the role right beneath it.
I have come to the realization that I have to appear to be dumber than I am to gain entry.
Then again, I've been waiting for alignment.
This is how I visualize X.
Imagine going to a very busy place. People are just out there talking to themselves. They look crazy, just saying things randomly. Other crazies join together and say random things. Non stop yapping.
The other book idea is an introduction of a new #methodology. It combines HR, Department Managers and Applicants and replaces the horrible #ATS system.
Even with the ATS HR has a 50-60% success rate in hiring the right candidate. its a dumpster fire
I had an idea to introduce a new #archetype to the #workforce. Something we've seen but with other titles and names. I feel like the future of tech, ai, software, and other advancements has created pseudo- experts I'm coining as #SoftwareSurfers.
I havent been on x in a while. I had to sit back, reevaluate my #project and decided just to just focus on getting things done.
So many good things coming.
I realized that the content I have so bigger than I anticipated so I'm creating two #books.
@Observer_ofyou Sometimes its okay to tell them to Foff. They need u as much as you need them. If people become smarter on their skill set & negotiating then companies will have to listen & change tactics. If you didnt get it then good cause something much better is waiting
@Observer_ofyou Given that my skills were beyond their siloed results the price changes and I showed them how. They came back saying they have a good database to extract numbers. Then I told them good luck finding somebody to fill that role.
@Observer_ofyou I had multiple rounds negotiating a new position I created. They were unsure of the area and pay scale so I included my research into the proposal. They came back with a lower wage and I told them that my skill spans several industries, sectors & trades.
@Observer_ofyou Last thing is this, go in with this knowledge. Allow them to take you to the signing stage. Look at your range. Does that match what you researched? Is the price good for your region? If not then tell them that they need to improve their research.
@Observer_ofyou Lastly, do you know about the salary tier ranges and bands you fall within? That's usually determined by experience, knowledge, and role match. HOWEVER, HR is not data driven and do not have a standardized approach to these things. So each company is diff
@Observer_ofyou Theres a higher probability of them answering your question. ALSO, some HR at lower levels of large corporations dont have the data to share with you theyve only told what range to offer. Asking exposes their inadequacies
@Observer_ofyou I'm not saying you did anything wrong. I don't like how HR takes these questions personally. I really stupid and territorial of them. The reason I bring up pay right when I have something to sign is that they've already decided to move forward.
@Observer_ofyou I see.
I usually like starting out those questions about pay once they give me something to sign. If this was your first round, meaning that you were already filtered through your resume, & you're just doing the interview then that wasn't the question to ask
@birdabo Applied Mathematics. If you know this then you'll still be ahead of the curb. Alan Turning, Walter Pitts & Vladimir Vapnik are all credited to Machine Learning and they're all mathematicians.
@T_Zahil You change your own damn mind
I always knew I was going to be a dad. I was sick for 8 years of his life & I kept my relationship with him constant. We have a great relationship now. Its about how you nurture your relationship. if you cant shows youre selfish
