@Noabotty1@AdamHarrison14@Palestinia12961 I imagine when the Bibas children died was the time to explain the geopolitical situation to people? Or is that only ok in some cases? Just wondering...
@Noabotty1@AdamHarrison14@Palestinia12961 No one is saying these facts aren't true. Just that this is not the place for it. Except for the (many) people in this thread looking to excuse it. Wouldn't be ok after the death of any baby.
@Noabotty1@AdamHarrison14@Palestinia12961 Not simplifying. But this post was about the tragic death of a child. And the majority of the posts start with reasons or excuses. Not this never should have happened.... to a baby. Nuance exists but it isn't where human beings should START.
@Noabotty1@AdamHarrison14@Palestinia12961 And still a family lost their child due to nothing they did. Doesn't sound like a guerrilla war to me. Sounds more like violence justified by racism
@hanshanot@Palestinia12961 Sure. But national zeal does set the tone for individual zeal. Not for everyone of course. But certainly for some. That has been true throughout history.
@hanshanot@Palestinia12961 Sure... but being zealous does tend to lead to extreme views. And the view that anything is ok if it is for your side. Acknowledging that this perspective on safety is an obstacle to peace is also important.
@hanshanot@Palestinia12961 Everyone in the world wants to be safe. Soldiers shooting innocents isn't making anyone safer. The nazis used the Jewish threat to justify the holocaust...
This. A million times this. Some of the posts about this have made my skin crawl. They are how evil gets fed... if you cannot face what is being done in your name and instead have to justify it you are the problem.
@Palestinia12961 If i had to live under this fear i would spend many days either suicidal or murderous. Then reading this thread just doubled that. No one should have to live like this.
