Really pisses me off when I'm asked to second cam on a quick shoot, and I essentially sort out the set up, give advice on the edit and get some good shots of key moments, only to have it all edited together & have just ONE of my throwaway shots used. ONE. Why ask me to help?! 😠
@ItsKatieMcGuire I had the expectation it would happen anyway, but was working with great people and enjoyed it, so all's not lost. I'll be over it tomorrow, just felt ranty 😅
@ItsKatieMcGuire It's not the first time my manager's done this. I get asked for advice a lot, and she's appreciative at the time, but then mostly just ignores it... Heyho!
Plus us all using the TeamsApp. Plus then creating a works Whatsapp group so we can "social outside of work hours". HELP US. I'm grateful to have job & full pay, but have a bit of trust in your staff maybe?
So my boss wants a report on Monday mornings detailing our tasks for the week ahead. Plus a timesheet on Fridays detailing tasks completed & time they took. Plus a 1hr window to respond to emails or no pay (easy for a 'tographer...). Plus daily check-in call from office manager.
I'm so glad The Boy was able to bring some work home just in time for him to be furloughed. And now he can't take it back. But it's fine, I always felt our 2bed was lacking bins of cable bits anyways.
Getting used to this working from home lark. At the moment, when everything's going well and no urgent samples need snapping, that is. #workingfromhome#photographer
Dear @BorisJohnson, the self-employed freelance community contributed £271bn to the UK economy in 2017 - enough to fund the NHS twice over (via @teamIPSE). And that stat has grown since. Don't forget about us (4.8 million self-employed in the UK). Please RT.
Just in case quarantined Paris wasn’t disorientating enough: my neighbourhood was being used as a film set when the lockdown hit. Now the whole block has been left frozen in 1941
Amazing opportunity! Maybe this would finally get me to write down my stories... 🤔

Hello
Do you earn a living in #sport or #creativeindustries?
Is your work affected by #CoronaOutbreak?
Would you be happy to share your concerns with me so I can make a dossier to give to govt who I think don’t understand precarious nature of #selfemployment
Please share.

Morning @bectu - why is it that Vision Engineers or Vision Supervisors never ever appear on any job role or rates lists?! We're trying to get our heads around what the IR35 changes will mean but it's impossible when vision jobs aren't in any of your or HMRC lists 😵
