@PhilipOConnor5@EuropeanRover Right, weeks are countable nouns, but using 'fewer' would imply that Starmer could only have exactly one or exactly two week's experience. When you say 'less than two weeks' you are allowing for the continuous and indeterminate amount of time between 0 and 2 weeks.
@AylmerTH @lemonadelush Campbell is right; it's about the thing being measured. You can't have half a seat - it is a discrete quantity - therefore "fewer" is correct
@Vengeancewood@BiasedSlightly The Quartering is definitely Envy (he peed on the floor of his basement because his wife went out for pizza without him) https://t.co/lfQhU1cMQo
@Keano_RL_ if your household wealth is >$100m it would be extremely unlikely to have to sell an asset to pay unrealised gains tax on it. Unless 100% of your wealth is tied up in assets, in which case your finances are fucked and you should sell off to generate liquidity anyway
@Keano_RL_ It's mostly clickbait for now - the footnote of a proposal mentions the possibility of another proposal. But the 25% tax on unrealised gains would only apply to households with wealth >$100m. It mitigates asset hoarding by billionaires which doesn't contribute towards the economy
@SwitchRL Situations are not comparable. Ukraine is in a desperate situation highly dependent on aid from the US. The survival of Ukraine and its people is contingent on a good relationship with its allies, especially the US. The UK (and many others) abstaining is far more shameful.
@Northernlion@chayse___ Wilt was a freak but the pace of play in the 1960s was much faster than modern Basketball: in the 1968 season there were (on average) around 120 possessions per 48 mins, compared to only about 100 today. Combine that with the shooting being (relatively) poor = a lot more rebounds
The second @doransesports team falls as well, as @KeeleEsports comes out on top!
In the next one we have the Danish dynamite from Aalborg taking on @warwickesports who are looking to remedy their bad start in week 1 🐺
