AFAC has released the #BushfireOutlook for Winter 2022.
In the Top End, above normal fire potential is expected in some parts due to dry conditions, while ACT and parts of NSW and Queensland expect below normal fire potential.

Today we commemorated those members of the fire and emergency services community who have died in the line of duty at the National Memorial Service on the banks of Lake Burley Griffin. We will always remember their courage and sacrifice.

We are pleased to have procured a new LAT for Australia’s aerial firefighting capability. Funded by the commonwealth government through a partnership with NAFC, it will be exclusively available to Australian states and territories this fire season.
Our national Large Air Tanker landed today, carrying 15,000L of retardant, it's a real boost to our national aerial firefighting capability. This is a result of the Government investing $30mil each year to ensure availability of efficient aerial firefighting resources. @AFACnews
