In 2013, conservative political personality Glenn Beck caused an uproar in the wrestling world after criticizing the Zeb Colter/Jack Swagger storyline for “demonizing the Tea Party” and claiming WWE was turning on its own audience.

In response, WWE posted this video (later followed by a shorter version that kept kayfabe), in which Zeb and Jack start off doing their usual promo, then break character to explain that it’s all entertainment and fictional characters, even giving their real names.

WWE also invited Glenn Beck to appear live on RAW, offering him five unedited minutes to respond.

However, Beck never showed up, saying he was “booked doing anything else.”

He’s just unreal in this segment.
Guy just comes out completely lost after losing his title, before those previously empty eyes just dagger into Enzo. He thinks this guy is a mockery of everything he’s built. Every word he says to him is laced with pure disgust for the guy standing across from him. Some people can’t even convey that type of emotion toward people they genuinely hate.

But the satisfaction he takes in beating him down feels so good. It’s just a very human reaction to finally being pushed to the breaking point. He beats Enzo so badly that you can see how relieving it is for him.

Then the pageantry before he hits the Red Arrow because he’s already gone off the deep end. He lost his chance at the title by violating the contract, so now he just wants to have fun with it.
