So strong is His love that it controls all His powers, and employs the vast resources of heaven in doing His people good.

God is love.
— 1 John 4:8,16
The first impulse of freedom is to set others free.
Anything less is not true freedom.
Let’s celebrate freedom and also share freedom with all people!

…it is impossible to endow men with the Holy Spirit, who are set in their ideas, whose doctrines are all stereotyped and unchangeable... –1888 Materials, p. 1225
“God is love” (1John 4:8), therefore God is infinitely merciful. Mercy is a dimension of love.
God is love, therefore God is infinitely just. Justice is a dimension of love.
God is love, therefore God is patient. Patience is a dimension of love.
God is love, therefore God is humble. Humility is a dimension of love.
God is love, therefore God is kind. Kindness is a dimension of love.
God is love, therefore God is generous. Generosity is a dimension of love.
God is love, therefore God is relationally faithful. Faithfulness is a dimension of love.
Everything that is true of God, is true of God, because, and precisely because, God is love. All good and beautiful attributes of personhood are present in God in perfect synthesis and equilibrium, each one contributing to the totality of God’s character and together composing the whole reality of who God is.
There is one great central truth to be kept ever before the mind in the searching of the Scriptures:—Christ and Him crucified. Every other truth is invested with influence and power corresponding to its relation to this theme.

The love of Christ... is the one great truth to be constantly kept before the minds of men. Yet how dimly is the love of God understood; and in the teaching of the word it makes but a faint impression.

“We don’t yet see things clearly. We’re squinting in a fog, peering through a mist. But it won’t be long before the weather clears and the sun shines bright!
In the final analysis, all of us are going to realize that it was the gentle ones who were right all along. When all is said and done, the meek, the poor, the persecuted, those on the downside of power working for justice, those on the margins of society longing for love, joy, and peace to rule the realm of humankind—they “shall inherit the Earth.” Matthew 5 #Scripture
"The chain that is let down from the throne of God is long enough to reach into the lowest depths of sin. Hold up a sin-pardoning Saviour before the lost and lowly… He is able to reach to the lowest depths and lift them up from the pit of sin..."

Your big task in life is to see beauty and potential in people that they cannot see in themselves. The good you see in a person, they will begin to see in themselves, and that makes it the best gift you can give to a fellow human being.
The resurrection of Christ was the triumph of love over selfishness. An onslaught of violent hate was unleashed upon Him, but He just kept on loving us to the utter end of Himself. Satan’s strategy was to torture Him into abandoning humanity by even a single act of self-preserving retaliation. When Jesus died with His love for sinners fully intact, Satan was defeated and the war between good and evil was won in principle. Now, by the proclamation of that victory, the war is won in individual hearts. #HappyResurrectionDay
“But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?” -1 John 3:17

60 years ago, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. spent #Easter of 1963 in the Birmingham jail. Arrested at a peaceful protest (there was a court order to stop the protests), he missed preaching his Easter sermon,
contests. Things are different now. So often the contemporary church is a weak, ineffectual voice with an uncertain sound. So often it is an archdefender of the status quo.”
