Last week, our PhD students and faculty had the chance to go on a pontoon ride to get to know each other. The group cruised through Tenney Lock and around Lake Mendota, enjoying views of Madison and good company.

I had my orientation today at the UW-Madison iSchool! I got my desk, which is approximately 122 years old! The iSchool is moving to a new building next year, so I might be the last PhD student to use this desk. I can’t imagine how many researchers have used it before me.
