He was a Canadian renaissance man. Great goalie, great writer, politician, business figure…. Whatever he did, he made the task his own and infused it with a rare combo of intelligence, humility and skill.
If he had only been a goalie, he’d be a legend. Because he was so much more - he’s become part of our national story.
RIP Ken Dryden
The keyboard warriors who know nothing about hockey are taking their ignorance from a level of being a moron with 2 much free time to one that is beyond despicable & borderline insane. A player lost his life in an on ice accident. The end. So SHUT UP...& crawl back under ur rock
@nhraphil@NHRA@scrappersracing Technically....Dale was born east of Edmonton in a small inconsequential farming town called Holden. He lived the first years of his life there before the family moved to Calgary. Undoubtedly the greatest thing to come from Holden and he was proud of it!
Terry Fox died today in 1981.
We often see pictures of him with cheering crowds, but here is one of him by himself on the road, running towards the Pacific in his Marathon of Hope.
