2021 में ईवा क्रिस्टिन हेनसेन को नॉर्वे संसद की अध्यक्ष चुना गया था। कुछ ही हफ्तों बाद अखबार ने खुलासा किया कि 2014 से 2017 तक उन्होंने राज्य द्वारा दिए गए का इस्तेमाल किया, जबकि उनका अपना घर Ski में था, जो संसद से लगभग 29 किलोमीटर दूर था।
नॉर्वे के नियम के अनुसार, इस तरह की मुफ्त/सब्सिडी वाला अपार्टमेंट तभी मिलता है जब सांसद का घर संसद से 40 किलोमीटर से ज्यादा दूर हो। उनके घर की दूरी 11 किलोमीटर कम थी, इसलिए नियमों का उल्लंघन माना गया।
उन्होंने नियमों को गलत समझने की बात कही, माफी मांगी और पुलिस जांच शुरू होने पर 18 नवंबर 2021 को इस्तीफा दे दिया। उनका कहना था कि जांच के घेरे में संसद अध्यक्ष रहना उचित नहीं है।
सोचिए सिर्फ 50 वर्गमीटर के अपार्टमेंट और 11 किलोमीटर के फर्क पर इस्तीफा और माफी जबकि नॉर्वे बड़े वित्तीय सरप्लस वाला मुल्क है।
आगे क्या हुआ?
•2022 में उनकी पुलिस जांच बंद कर दी गई। कोई अपराध साबित नहीं हुआ।
•टैक्स अथॉरिटी और अन्य जांचों में भी कुछ मामलों में नियम उल्लंघन का स्पष्ट सबूत नहीं मिला।
यह घटना नॉर्वे में राजनीतिक नैतिकता और पारदर्शिता के उच्च मानकों का उदाहरण मानी जाती है, जहाँ छोटी सी अनियमितता पर भी बड़ा बवाल और इस्तीफा हो सकता है।

“Let me die,” American photojournalist Heidi Levine repeats to journalists Jasper Nathaniel as they try to outrun masked Israeli settlers who attacked her on Friday while she covered the olive harvest in the West Bank village of Abu Falah, near Ramallah.

Around 80 settlers attacked Palestinian olive harvesters in the village, AP reported. The Palestinian Red Crescent said it treated six people injured in two attacks in Abu Falah.

Levine, a freelancer for the Washington Post, told the Committee to Protect Journalists that the settlers knocked her down and kicked her for at least 10 minutes, even after she identified herself as an American journalist. They stole her camera, phone and bag. She was eventually taken to a hospital in Ramallah.

"The IDF provided cover, with tear gas and machine guns, while the settlers beat" Levine "nearly to death," Nathaniel wrote, adding that soldiers then shot a Palestinian bystander and aimed their guns at and shoved paramedics trying to treat him. AP photos and circulating videos show Israeli soldiers standing over a wounded Palestinian man after they shot him.

Andrey X, an activist also at the scene, said a Palestinian man "saved our lives from the settler-terrorists who attacked the olive harvesters and journalists” armed only with a slingshot.
