We will be introducing bipartisan legislation to block any and all purchases of Russian oil. It will be called the “Ronald Reagan Peace Through Strength Act.” It will be forced to the Floor via discharge and it will pass overwhelmingly. #PeaceThroughStrength
When you've always supported a rule of law, always supported free trade, always supported free speech, etc., and then criticize the president for acting against these things, that doesn't mean you have TDS, it means you put principles before principals.
Big Shout Out to Republican Senator Lankford, who just called out Stephen Miller's crazy rhetoric:
"They have a very different view than I do. I'm a conservative Republican. I have Democratic friends...Just having that ideology, just believing differently than some other American, is not illegal. That's America."
We need more of this from both sides.
A man who screamed “Kill ’em!” at police during the January 6 riot now works for the Department of Justice. And the DOJ says they “appreciate his contributions.”
If you’re not chilled by that, you’re not paying attention. (link in Reply)
Last Saturday, at my hometown’s “No Kings” demonstration, I had the honor of rallying the biggest crowd I’ve ever seen gather here — an estimated 4,500 neighbors coming together as patriots and raising our voices in unison for what binds us and what we treasure so deeply: our democracy.
As I said to my neighbors, this isn’t liberal versus conservative or Democrat versus Republican. (God-willing, a time for that healthy political discourse will come later.) This is more fundamental than that: It’s freedom versus autocracy. This isn’t America-bashing…it’s patriotism. People from across the political spectrum are waking up to our national emergency, and it’s time for blue and red to stand together for democracy — and that’s why I wear my purple shirt!
You’re welcome to share my speech — and I’d love to hear about the #NoKings events in your towns and cities, as well.
What kind of world do we live in where a sitting Senator can’t ask a question of a public official without being dragged away and handcuffed? This footage is outrageous — it’s something I’d expect out of an authoritarian nation, not the United States of America.
All know that a strong America is the best ally of peace—the world’s avaricious dictators of Russia, China, North Korea and Iran are hesitant to invade and brutalize in the face of 1) American strength and 2) American resolve. Our tepid response to Russia’s invasion of Georgia and Crimea surely contributed to Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine.
American strength is greatest when we have friends that stand with us; we must not let economic squabbles fray the bonds of our alliances.
American resolve is greatest when we stand with the victims of oppression and invasion. After Russia invaded Ukraine with hundreds of tanks and hundreds of thousands of troops, America - together with Europe - rallied to give Ukraine the weapons and aid to defend itself. Three years later, Russia continues its brutal assault. We must not let personal squabbles weaken our resolve to stand with the freedom fighters and to oppose the authoritarian aggressors.
Lasting peace will only be achieved if America demonstrates strength and resolve and if Ukraine is certain that it will not be invaded again. Anything short of that would elicit only temporary celebration; it would open the door to global conflicts that we may be unable to contain.
Generations of American patriots, from our revolution onward, have fought for the principles Zelenskyy is risking his life to defend. But today, Donald Trump and JD Vance attacked Zelenskyy and pressured him to surrender the freedom of his people to the KGB war criminal who invaded Ukraine. History will remember this day— when an American President and Vice President abandoned all we stand for.
Marco Rubio: “For years to come, there are many people on the right...that are going to be having to explain and justify how they fell into this trap of supporting Donald Trump because this is not going to end well.”

Former Vice Pres. Mike Pence is speaking out against Pres. Donald Trump's stance on Ukraine.
"Mr. President, Ukraine did not 'start' this war ... The Road to Peace must be built on the Truth," Pence posted on X. https://t.co/cB9iboHaZD
Trump’s characterizations of Zelensky and Ukraine are some of the most shameful remarks ever made by a US President. Our support of Ukraine has never been about charity, our way of life at home depends on our strength abroad.

This is easily the best sign at the #STLCards Spring Training complex in Jupiter, Fla. Most all Cards infielders will take ground balls at the field dedicated to Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith.
NATO is the most successful military alliance in history. It’s essential to deterring war & defending American security. No sane American President would encourage Putin to attack our NATO allies. No honorable American leaders would excuse or endorse this. https://t.co/LhH4kA1wHC
