Because they feel all the pain of the people who have died in similar circumstances. And they understand that tomorrrow they might find themselves in the a similar situation.

The point being; there is a pattern of black people, similar to George Floyd who have died unfairly in the hands of police. When people wear ‘I can’t breath t-shirts’ they are not “maliciously” using his death to get attention.
