@Liz_ORiordan It’s a tough one and I don’t know what I’m going to do either. On the one hand, I think it’s important to not let this place become a right-wing echo chamber and to be able to reach out to the public easily, but protecting my mental health is equally important. It’s difficult.
Always lovely to learn what your old pals are up to, especially when they’re doing such great things.
So proud of what Ed has achieved during his career, not least of all with his recent sustainability projects.
Congratulations and keep up the good work, SSgt Goodyear! 🫡🌿
🚀 Spotlight on Sustainability! 🌍 Huge congrats to SSgt Ed Goodyear for receiving the @UKStratCom Spotlight award! His stellar work at @DMS_MilMed is a beacon for green initiatives, from waste reduction to creating a polytunnel oasis. 🌱👏 #GreenDefence @ArmyMedServices 🇦🇲

@Autistic_Lia Space, and in relation to this, the Ewoks from Star Wars. I had a cartoon (possibly two) on VHS that I probably wore out because I watched it so much!
Last year's offering was so interesting, I decided to come back for more this year!
Looking forward to today's #THISspace2023 talks re: healthcare improvement in the NHS, communicating uncertainty in diagnosis, and learning health systems in action in particular.

I am looking for:

🧒On child & adolescent #mentalhealth
🇬🇧UK-based
Attended an excellent webinar earlier as part of the One in Four Manifesto launch. Great presentations, talks, and discussions from clinicians, patients, charity partners and commissioners about how best to move forward with more cohesive care for multimorbidity. Inspiring stuff.
One in four of us are now living with at least two health conditions.
Getting it right for this growing group of people holds the key to a stronger NHS.
Today, we're launching our manifesto for people with multiple health conditions.

Super proud of @StephBusby8 and their research into trans experiences of homelessness.
Today’s exhibition in the AMB was excellent - such a good turnout! The artwork will be up in the BJL until 15th Dec - do go see it if you can.

@JoCairns86 Thanks Jo! It was fine, I totally get where my chair & assessor were coming from & agree with their comments, but I suppose not knowing what to expect was a bit nerve-wracking. I’m looking forward to getting on with the next stages & will think about a treat to celebrate. 😊
Everything that could go wrong did go wrong in my first progress TAP meeting today. The discussions were a little difficult at times and I have some recommendations to consider (which I totally agree with), however I passed which is the main thing. Off to pass out now.

Here’s my research tip:
If you’re in a senior role, support PhD students and early career academics as much as possible.
Include them on publications.
Invite them to be part of grants.
Pay them to deliver guest lectures.
We can all take steps to make academia more supportive and kind.
