THREAD I think the “Kremlin UAV attack” is a false flag. Here is why:
1) Several videos in high quality and color appeared, from CCTV cameras. All CCTV cams around Kremlin are under full Kremlin control. Nobody may leak them without permission. The Kremlin wants us to see it. /1
@dustinmoris It can, but it should not be. Otherwise you as developer cannot use extensions like .First()/.FirstOrDefault()/similar as those would never stop. So in real life you should avoid making sequences infinite to follow the principle of least astonishment.
@EgorBo Why not keeping `this` ref till end of scope in constructors specifically to avoid such issues? 🤔
I see that is can still happen with methods, but at least you would not need to use GC.KeepAlive in classes with destructors…
@xoofx Would be interesting to hear your opinion then on the future of native languages like Rust. Will they be used for system/kernel/runtime only? Feel that GC languages are good for almost all the projects and it’s hard to find a project where Rust is justified 😔
Olenivka POW massacre thread 🧵:
1) it wasn't a GMLRS rocket
2) it was a thermobaric weapon
3) russia staged it and did so (as usual) incompetently
Firstly: keeping POWs so close to the front violates Article 19 of the Third Geneva Convention making it a war crime.

🇹🇷💙💛The Turkish company @BaykarTech, a Bayraktar manufacturer, was touched by the solidarity of Ukrainians, who collected money for three drones within several days, and will therefore donate them to Ukraine. The drone manufacturer announced this on company's Twitter page.
@konradkokosa Would would be interesting is the unit testing. Today we use mocking frameworks to provide dynamic interface implementations. But here we have static methods bound to the type itself, so are not replaceable 😕
Curious whether it would make testing harder in certain cases 🧐
@EgorBo@terrajobst Only when condemned explicitly by a person - only then it’s considers for me, not “by default”. Sorry, not these days.
I’ve joined many protests in Copenhagen and all the russians I know in Denmark never joined those protests. I met other russians with flag only once or twice.
@EgorBo@terrajobst Support of russia does not require that one wants war and blood, but could be softer when one says “both sides are guilty”, “NATO threatens russia”, “russia has reasons and should be heard”, “russia doesn’t have choice”, “sanctions are evil”, etc.
@EgorBo@terrajobst So for me the “correct answer” is like @terrajobst wrote. If person is not explicitly sharing they are against - they are supporting and spread “russian mir” alongside with them, no matter whether they are inside or outside. And there is no excuse for that at all these days.
@EgorBo@terrajobst My russian ex-colleague was condemning Navalny during Moscow protests and believed that protests should be suppressed.
Another school student was sharing propaganda news with me and asking a few weeks before the war why Ukraine prepares attack and how poor russia is.
@SergioPedri@konradkokosa Thanks for the prompt explanation. So could we say basically that any pointer is not updated on GC compaction (as opposed to managed ref like inside span)? So we always have to pin when working with pointers, no matter what.
